We are finally sailors!
It wasn't easy, but we made it through our first real sail, Grenada to Carriacou. 6+ hours of open water, waves, wind, nausea, fatigue.
Things started well, with the family up front on the trampoline enjoying the sun and the breeze and the easy sail in the lee of Grenada.
But then the wind got frisky, the waves got rowdy, and there were currents. Hours later we arrived Tyrell Bay safe, but with one sea sick kid, a wife questioning her life decisions, and many frayed nerves.
Since then, things have improved. We had a beautiful reaching sail to Sandy Island. The kids love their "home". Swimming skills have gone through the roof. Homeschooling has started to feel routine.
One month in, we almost feel settled!
